TRENDS - Love Leopard

I am trying to remember a time without leopard print being 'in' fashion wise and I must admit I can't. This is one trend that has been sticking around for a good few years now and as long as designers keep adding the look to their collections, we will keep it in our wardrobes.

Mix a little bit of leopard and other animal prints into your 'safari' and 'tribal' trend pieces and no one will ever know you are wearing clothes from 5 seasons ago. D&G and Dior love it, Christina Aguilera never let it go, so here are some inspired choices for you...

TRENDS - Jingle Jangle Bangles

Sporting an array of bangles is a great way to jazz up a boring outfit. Celebs everywhere have been wearing theirs, you could say they are elbow deep in arm candy, quite literally. The key is to experiment with what looks good, you don't even have to stick to one style. Layer up different textures, colours and styles to create an individual look.

I am a fan of safari inspired jewellery but would mix this with some gold or perspex to bring the look right up to date. Try a mixture of wide and narrow bangles too but keep other jewellery to a minimum so as not to over-do it. Don't forget charity shops, as these can be a great place to find quirky and original items, and at bargain prices too.Accessorize Mop Mozaic Chunky Bangle - Oli.co.uk - £10.00

TRENDS - Subtopian Safari

Fabrics are softer and the look quite subtle, but the safari influence is most definitely there. This trend is perfect for the transitional months to come. Layer up and look stylish at the same time. Try belted shorts, dresses and jackets, chunky wooden and gold jewellery, and some gladiator style sandals. White, beige, khaki, tan and brown are obviously key colours but don't be afraid to experiment slightly. A flash of orange or yellow will lift the look and bring it right up to date.
