MOST WANTED - Karen Millen Dress

Karen Millen Satin Bow Dress - ASOS - £180

If I had to choose a free wardrobe from any store it would be Karen Millen. All the designs seem to be classic, timeless but also, always bang on trend. This dress for example hits 6 of them, satin, jewel hued, pleated, fishtail, puffball and bows. Phew! Wear this little number to a wedding this summer and you will be sure to upstage the bride!

It is great news that ASOS are now stocking a bigger Karen Millen range, making the most desirable of outfits even more accessible to us, the mere masses.

See more Karen Millen at ASOS...

MOST WANTED - Tiered Hem Dress

Zac Posen Iconic Tiered Hem Dress - NET A PORTER - £1360

This dress is body con at its coolest. The twist on the tiered look is really inventive with the cut out holes showing a little extra leg. This vibrant colour is perfect for summer, wear it with a cropped jacket and metallic accessories for smart and stylish wedding wear. Just avoid a big meal in this one as it really is skin tight!

TRENDS - The Cold Shoulder

One shoulder tops and dresses are bang on trend this spring but be sure they suit you before you invest. This look is a necklace no no, as the detail on the neck is your accessory. Don't forget your strapless bra, and if your boobs can't be supported by one, then perhaps this trend is not for you. Make your skin shimmer with a moisturiser with some added shimmer powder or sparkle. Versace represented this trend on the catwalk and Jessica Alba and Paris Hilton have been spotted in their one shoulder frocks. That is good enough for me to follow suit.

TRENDS - Time for Tea

The best of our British fashionistas have been sporting their florals of late. The tea dress in particular is a great way to inject some retro cool into your wardrobe. Alexa Chung is a champion for this look, and Kelly Osbourne looks great with her flowery prints. Not long ago, the forties trend had taken over and this is a development from that look. Wear yours with a splash of red lipstick, some opaque tights and some cute round toe shoes.

STYLE AWARD - Diane Kruger

DIANE KRUGER

Diane's face has recently become a regular appearance in fashion magazines. Partly due to the fact that she cannot be faulted for her Red Carpet outfits . Her one-off Chanel Gown below is absolutely beautiful.

This white Grecian dress shows off her golden tan and creates a great silhouette, with a tiny nipped in waist that we can all but envy.

The choice below was slightly braver, but I love it none the less. It is a fun look with on-trend tassles.

I love this loose ponytail which looks as if it took 2 minutes, but in reality is likely to have taken far longer. I also love the simplicity of her make-up with an emphasis on creating rosy cheeks.

This daytime outfit is something that any of us could copy at high street prices, which is why I think it is so great. Diane can go from one-off Chanel gowns, to everyday simple dresses without losing an ounce of style.

STYLE AWARD - Corrine Bailey Rae

Corrine Bailey Rae

There is something childlike and angelic about her style yet also elegance. This simple BadgleyMischka dress is so perfect on her. And I love the sparkling shoes as well. For curly hair pinning sections up is a great way to add glamour for a take on the classic up-do, it takes the heaviness away from the face and shows off a shapely jawline.

She wears barely a scrap of make up, but she doesn't have to. Her features are delicate and pretty without any enhancement at all. If only we all were blessed with her natural beauty.

Her signature look, is the pretty dress. Often Strapless and nearly always short in length which accentuates her great legs. It is a great look for a party, perfect in fact for New Years Eve so get your frocks out! Warehouse is a great place to look for a strapless dress especially now as it is sale time.

WEBSITE OF THE WEEK - Marthascloset.co.uk

This is a vintage treasure chest. Whether you are looking to add some vintage items to your wardrobe, or buy a one off piece for dressing up in style, then this is the place. They have a great selection of clothes and accessories, which is always changing and they conveniently organise items by decade to make it easier to find what you need. Big designer names can often be found too, but at a price. My favourites are below...

70'e Black Dress - £30

The perfect party dress

60's Cut Out Mini Dress

Great with tights and patent heels.

60's Evening Dress

A chunky belt around the waist of this dress would bring it bang up to date.
