TRENDS - Sweet Sorbet Shades
Aqua, lemon, jade, lilac and pink. According to Vogue magazine, Galliano and Dior's frocks were full of the heavenly hues. Somewhere between pastels and brights is where you should be aiming. The colours take inspiration from the block colours that have been key to trends for the last few months, but these shades are toned down and sweeter.

TRENDS - Loud Lips
Reds and oranges are the way to go for this trend. The catwalk sported every colour under the sun, but keep things wearable. A bit of fuschia and plum can look great too. Lily Allen was recently seen sporting Claret lips but things tend to lighten up for summer.
Brights have been big in every other aspect of fashion so it seems obvious that lips would also follow suit. Just take it easy on the rest of your make up, the lips are the focus here. Also make sure your lips are in great condition, scrub them and use a moisturising treatment to avoid any flakes or bleeding of the lip colour.

Quirky heels are a sure fire way to get noticed, and there are plenty of different styles to choose from right now. Try contrasting colours, cut out holes, intricate details and crazy shapes. Anything goes with this trend, all you need to do is tone down the rest of the outfit to balance out a shoe the screams look at me. Have a look at some of these beauties...

DESIGNER - Diane Von Furstenberg
No other designer has managed to design a collection of dresses this season which tick all the trend boxes. Diane Von Furstenberg's collection is vibrant, ethnic and exciting to say the least. Maui styles and floral and tribal prints make for the perfect frocks to be seen in as the weather warms up. Ideal if you have a swanky wedding to attend. See my favourites below.
All the above dresses and the rest of the DVF collection can be seen at Matches Fashion.

MOST WANTED - Michael Kors Scarf
This is more than I could stomach to spend on a scarf. But if money were no object I would snap it up. It is very 'global traveller', a trend that is hot on the catwalk and red carpets. Tie dye hippy with a bit more class is what would call it, plus celebs have been wearing orange at every opportunity lately.

Available from Net-A-Porter.

TRENDS - Bright Shoes

The right shoes can make or break an outfit, but at the moment it seems the right shoes are bright shoes! Yellow, blue, orange, pink and green or any colour of the rainbow will do. Bold block colour works best, but also try clashing primary colours. It will lift an otherwise plain ensemble and make you stand out for all the right reasons. If you have open toes I think it is best to go for a nude nail polish or a different colour, don't match shoes and nails. Wearing brights on your feet is a great way to wear a colour that wouldn't usually suit you head to toe. Get inspired with my options below...

TRENDS - Fluoro Florals
Have you noticed the recent colour explosion! Big, bold floral prints are back. Because this look is such a statement, it really needs nothing else. Keep accessories to a minimum and go for plain a shoe and bag. Colleen McLoughlin was spotted at the Races this week wearing her floral mini dress, a great trend for the coming months. So get brave and inspired by my picks below...

TRENDS - Bright Eyes
Make-up goes from boring to daring with the latest trend for colourful cosmetics. Eyes are the focal point of the look with candy colours being the best option. Lips are not left out completely, try an orange toned lipstick or bright fuscia. I think its best to keep to eyes or lips rather than both at once though, lets not get too scary. Be bold and get inspiration below...

Or how about a whole rainbow above your eyelashes?
This look is based on a sunset, with warm red and orange on the upper lids, and a shimmering blue below.
Oops....someone took it too far! Don't try this look at home.

TRENDS - Art Class
Various versions of this trend have been cropping up all over celebdom. From watercolour pastels to brushstroke prints, to full on colour explosions. The key for this look is to be brave. Working the look in a boldly patterned dress is the best way to wear but for it to work, you should keep everything else simple. It's time for a fun look and a chance to experiment with unusual abstract patterns. The latest ombre and dip dyed items also fit in perfectly. Try these for size...

TRENDS - Citrus Hues
Both Kate Beckinsale (above) and Vanessa Williams wowed in Yellow gowns at the Screen Actors Guild Awards this week. Photo Credit: Marie Claire
The zesty shades hitting the high street at the moment are enough to put a spring in our step and remind us all of that sunshine that seems to visit far too infequently. Oranges have been big news, with the celebs opting for red carpet gowns in the brightest of brights. Expect alot more yellow and green as the season progresses.
Unfortunately, I have trouble wearing yellow, it just doesn't suit my skin tone so I will be sticking to oranges and limes. Pick the hue that suits you best, or if top to toe colour is not your thing, then accessorise like crazy with the best of zest. Get inspired with my pick below...
